In 2020 January. Chingola town was hit with deaths associated with ritual killings with the recent one happening on December 30, 2019 in which six members of the same family were attacked with machetes, and others died from this incident.
The victims of the alleged ritual killings were found to be mutilated, often missing arms,the heart, tongues, lips, genitals,breasts, or skin were found at increasing frequency in different parts of the country in what authorities and the general public called ritual killings.

In the early hours of October 1997, the soldiers led by Captain Solo broke into an arms depot, assaulted army officers and then proceeded to seized state-owned Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) studios. Solo claimed to be representing the National Redemption Council, and announced over state radio that he had taken over the country. He further informed his countrymen that he was dismissing the chiefs of the army and the police, and would give President Frederick Chiluba until 9 A.M. to surrender or be killed.
was a Zambian rebel leader who rebelled against the rule of the Zambian government of Kenneth Kaunda from 1975 to 1982 when he was shot by Zambia Army officers.Before his rebellion, Mushala initially belonged to the United National Independence Party (UNIP), fighting colonial minority rule. He was sent to China for guerrilla training with a view to coming back to fight the colonial government, but upon his return, Zambia was already independent.
He demanded to be the Minister Of Tourism and Wildlife in the UNIP government, which Kaunda denied. Out of frustration, he left Zambia together with his followers and went to the then South West Africa to ready himself for a rebellion agaisnt the then government and its one party state rule.
2) THE NOTORIOUS MAILONI BROTHERS
Mailoni Brothers were a trio of serial killers and gang members in Zambia, consisting of brothers, Mika, Stephano, and Fabian, alias Tunda. They were suspected to be behind a number of murders around the Luano Valley of Central Province and were on the run for a number of years. They were gunned down and killed by a team of Zambia Army Commandos in 2013. They were stated as officially having killed 12 people since the start of their crime spree on April 27, 2007.

The lusaka strangler murdered his victims between January 5th to September 1980.His technique was simple, approach a woman, seduce her, take her for a drink, rape and strangle her. The other variation was to offer accommodation. He would then dump the body at a place where it would be found easily. He also played games with the police. Arranging items like bottles around bodies, leave coins on the body and notes and so on.
